This high-relief rectangular panel depicts the legendary bogatyr Ilya Muromets standing resolutely in a forest glade beside his powerful horse. The composition features a tall, knotted oak behind the figures, dense woodland background and rich foreground foliage; the hero is portrayed in traditional armor with folded arms and a heavy mace at his side. An ornate baroque frame with scrolling acanthus and corner rosettes surrounds the scene, offering elegant transition to furniture or wall paneling.
