Description

The panel shows a frontal bishop figure with a bearded, expressive face, a richly ornamented mitre and halo with a lace-like nimbus. Right hand is raised in a blessing gesture, left holds a decorated Gospel with medallion; two small seated figures on clouds flank the shoulders. Background filled with repeating floral arabesques and framed by a raised border. Crisp folds of vestments, fine halo ornament and book relief deliver excellent depth and milling fidelity.
